Desert Rose

As a firm and strong believer of Buddhist philosophy I also believe in life after death. I believe that we would come back to this world multiple times until the day we overcome our desires and stop being born. So one day I was having this conversation with another friend of mine, who was born into a Buddhist family, and who became a doctor, and stopped believing in after-life. During a conversation on why I do and why he doesn’t believe in after-life he said the following:

“As scientists we learned to draw empirical conclusions based on observations. Only difference is that I have learned to stick to empirical evidence while you continue to go beyond empirical evidence!! The danger of that is human imagination is so rich that anything can be imagined. Try and close your eyes for 2 minutes. Now imagine a rose blooming in the desert. It is possible isn't it? Is it plausible? Imagination makes anything possible but we need to get it to the level of plausible. Religion operates at the level of possible”

His comment about the ‘rose in the desert’ and it’s ‘possibilities’ made me create the following presentation.
