Removal of a tree stump

Dan and I cut down a maple tree. It was too close to the house. Then remained the task of removing the tree stump, roots and all. This is how our conversation went.

Me: Don't you think we have to get help from a professional for this?
Dan: Oh, this is very easy. We can do it.
Me: Really? Hmm... Ok!

Two days later we started removing the tree stump. First we cleared the area, then we dug out the soil, used a chain saw (Dan borrowed it from a friend), and cut down some 'roots.'

Me: You sure we should use the chain saw for roots? There could be stones and stuff with soil!
Dan: Don't you worry, honey!

An hour later, Dan looks at the 'very little' soild we managed to remove and the huge roots that are spreading all ways, and says "I think we need help."
"Uh huh!" is all what I said.

Next day at work I get a text message from Dan.
'$100 to remove the tree stump'

Me: 'Great! considering more than $500 for possible broken chain saw replacement, and possible medical bills for injuries that could have happened.'

Dan texts back.  'Not to mention the embarrassment.'

Hee hee... I love Dan!
